Elliott and Omara

Besides The National, J. Tillman and Spoon which seem to always be in heavy rotation in my car or on my iPod, this is what I have been listening to a lot lately:

I've really liked all the Elliott Smith albums I've ever heard so I don't know why I neglected New Moon for so long. This is a fantastic album.

Omara Portuondo's voice (and accompanying music) have the ability to make me almost believe I am not driving through the desert but on my way to a tropical beach where old men in guayaberas play dominoes.
